Corvette Fashion

Tada! Here's my almost finished outfit. The only things missing are the skirt (I improved by using a leather skirt for opening day of the show) and the proper jewelry. The outfit was a great success, though designing the jacket was maddening I wanted to destroy it during the design/mockup stage. But anywho, my fav part of it is the stripes down the sleeves. The jacket is red satin ribbon over tri-color (green, gold, blue) taffeta lined in black broadcloth, with a buckle clasp and (added during our lunch break) a button and hidden snap neck closure. The corset is black cotton twill and 1 cm checkerprint Nascar licensed cotton lined in the same twill. It has a front busk closure and laces up the center back with silver grommets and silver satin ribbon. If I make another of those corsets, I'd make it a lil bit longer on the bottom to set over the hips better, but it still fit like a dream Definitely good for posture and um...framing? Also, my bro found this seatbelt style belt with a Corvette logo which was just perfect! Anywho, I'll see if this weekend when I wear the full outfit (with the skirt!), I can get a shot of the back.
